Hello, My problem has finally been solved. I had to change the setting in LyX -> Preferences -> Language Settings -> Spellchecker -> Spellchecker engine to "Native," delete the text in the "Alternative language" field, reconfigure LyX, and restart the program. I'm not convinced that I'm actually using cocoAspell's dictionary, but at least misspelled words are being indicated now.
I couldn't figure out how to post this on the bug tracker website, so please feel free to quote me if you want to post the solution on the page. Thanks for all the help, Mike On Sat, Dec 31, 2011 at 9:53 AM, LyX Ticket Tracker <t...@lyx.org> wrote: > #7957: cocoAspell Spellchecker not working > > ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- > Reporter: mplampin | Owner: stwitt > Type: defect | Status: new > Priority: normal | Milestone: > Component: spell | Version: 2.0.2 > Severity: normal | Keywords: os=macosx infoneeded > > ----------------------+----------------------------------------------------- > Changes (by stwitt): > > * keywords: os=macosx => os=macosx infoneeded > > > Comment: > > Please, can you give a status update? > > -- > Ticket URL: <http://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/7957#comment:3> > The LyX Project <http://www.lyx.org/> > LyX -- The Document Processor > -- Mike Plampin Master's student, Colorado School of Mines Civil & Environmental Engineering mplam...@mymail.mines.edu 303-918-9547
