I did manage to screw the path when trying the system dictionaries. I tested and I get Hunspell working with both /usr/share/myspell/dicts
and /usr/share/hunspell on my Xubuntu box. The "myspell" dir contains soft links to the "hunspell" dir. I also managed to use /usr/local/build/lyx-hunspell/dicts which contains the Hunspell dictionaries as hosted on the LyX SVN. A note: after changing the Hunspell Path it is mandatory to restart LyX for the new settings to take effect. We may want to have a message informing the user about this (similar to the pop-up following 'reconfigure'). Thanks Liviu
