According to this last message, there used to be also some pro-lyx & anti-M$ group, but I couldn't find it.

The only reason I'm asking is that, if anyone of these groups deserves to be considered an "official" source of information, then it might be appropriate:
-) to advertise new releases and other related news about LyX also there
-) to monitor from time to time discussions occurring on the corresponding "wall".

FB seems to be a promising communication media, and I wouldn't be surprised if it helped to get people interested in the tool.
