that depends on your vision of "only". For now, we have a feature
that perhaps is not implemented in the best/most-efficient possible
way, but it's there and works. And, whatever you can speed it up,
I can always produce a huge book file over which the super-optimized
implementation will probably take ages, so I don't actually see the
rewrite as a getting rid of the need for aborting the operation in
case it's been invoked over a big document.
