Yes, our cmake stuff has the 80% of trivial features and now we need the 20% of polish that actually take 80% of the time. (disclaimer: I made up my numbers).

Considering all the work done by Kornel and Peter for this release, I'd expect the numbers to be more like 90%/10%. I also expect that the the polish is easier to do in CMake that it was for autotools and m4. But I am not an expert, Kornel and/or Peter would probably give better estimations :-)


I do not say that cmake is not able to provide what autotools provides, just that it needs a lot of love to do so. Currently it is a convenient tool for developers, not the complete solution.
