Not my reality. People who use latex also do not read the documentation and 
some of them still use latex 2.09, the situation can be so bad that when I 
propose any latex package that has less than 15 years old they say it is not 
stable. Hmmm? And each person uses a different set of aliases, thing like \be 
for \begin{equation} and similar. What about accents? Argh....

So, no thanks, I prefer lyx any day to this cluttered mess that can be the 
latex use by everyday users.
