Ok, I'm almost ready. With some help from Bennett I made the readmes and a slightly changed background image for the finder when it is opening our disk image. What is missing is some translation of the english readme - possibly to french and spanish... If some volunteer can help me out, this would be nice. Prepare your system for LyX. • If this is your first time installing LyX, make sure you have installed a recent version of MacTeX: http://www.tug.org/mactex. Since LyX relies on LaTeX to typeset documents, it is not intended to produce output without it. • If you have previously used LyX-1.6 and want to continue to use your Preferences do the following: – In the Finder, navigate from your home folder => Library => Application Support, and select the LyX-1.6 folder. – Duplicate this folder (File > Duplicate). – Rename the copy to LyX-2.0. 2. Open the LyX-2.0 disk image (you probably did it already if you are reading this). 3. Drag the LyX icon to Applications folder. 4. Start LyX. 5. Visit the list of new features at http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/NewInLyX20.
