A better patch could attempt to download latest stable lyx2lyx (or from trunk) and put in the appropriate location in user's profile dir. (Assuming the later works: it works fine when putting the lyx2lyx dir in the system folder, but I never tried/succeeded in using the local user profile.) Liviu
