The constructor that sets the normal icon size is only called once,
so the fact that you have to restart LyX is not a bug, IMO. However,
the fact that you have to use the toolbar menu for having the view
updated is indeed a bug, but I don't know how Qt manages sessions
and thus don't know how to avoid that. Maybe Abdel (who forced the
use of Qt for managing sessions) knows how it can be avoided :)
I have to say that this Qt session code causes so much troubles
that I wish we had not ditched our own session managing code...
