Oh, and there is one more possible project that I forgot of.

There are still several projects with no clearly defined mentor:
- Layout editor (Vincent?, Richard?)

I guess this is a nice project for Abdel. Richard didn't respond yet to my invitation, so don't assume he wants to mentor a project.

- Improved XHTML& ePub support (?)

I would put Jose up for this one. (Maybe he can have a look at the related docbook stuff again ;)).

- Support for Python scripting [1] (?)

It was proposed by venom00 (as a potential contributor), but I didn't
see any discussions on the list, nor a name for a prospective mentor.
Should we include this on the Ideas page or not?

This might be an interesting idea, but it might need some more discussion. Maybe we want a simpler interface than Python (we can't assume the average LyX user has Python knowledge).

Moreover, I'd like to have at least one enthusiastic developer for the project, so that we can guarantee support. If anyone wants to step in, fine with me. For now, we are a bit short on developers willing to mentor anyway, so for now I would not put it on the official Ideas page.
