Problem with on-screen equation numbering?

With current trunk and preview disabled, I notice that numbered equation get a number that takes into account the previous unnumbered equation. Example: in the attached example, the displayed equation is numbered (2).

I looked at InsetMathHull::updateBuffer, but did not find anything wrong.
