Seems to be triggered by having document setting windows open for both documents at the same time. If you copy, then close Document settings, open document settings for the other document and paste then it works as expected. It also works as expected if you first open the Document settings window in the *existing* document and then create a new file, open Document settings for this new file and paste. Could it be a counter that is wrong somewhere? Anders
