Today it happened again to me.

made to the document can be seen in the picture. I seamed like LyX ate up the 
memory with every letter I typed. 

I‘m still not sure how I set LyX in this mode. Essentially what I did today was 
to first open my document. Then I changed a included graphic externally. 
Afterwards I created a preview pdf. Next I scrolled up an added some equations. 
At last I started typing again and ended up with a lot of used RAM.
