hi, one of the long-time issues with version-control problems is that we write in the very begining of the .lyx file something like: #LyX 1.6.10svn created this file. For more info see http://www.lyx.org/
do you find the number X in 1.6.X important to have? its constant source of merge conflicts when locking is not used and its completely unnecessary since we dont change fileformat during stable releases. would you have problem with having #LyX 1.6 created this file. For more info see http://www.lyx.org/ or i could do this only in case VCS is used. opinions? pavel
