If you are running it in place, try the following: $ cd <lyx-top-srcdir> $ mkdir -p locale/it/LC_MESSAGES $ ln -s ../../../po/da.gmo locale/it/LC_MESSAGES/lyx-2.0.mo On native Windows, one also needs either $ setenv LYX_LOCALEDIR <lyx-top-srcdir>/locale if using tcsh, or $ export LYX_LOCALEDIR=<lyx-top-srcdir>/locale if using bash. I don't know whether this is also needed on Mac. -- Enrico
