Hi folks, I have been updating eLyXer to support LyX 2.0's format, and I have noticed that in the guide "Additional LyX Features" you reference eLyXer in these words:
"Alex Fernandez’s eLyXer solves some of these problems. In particular, its rendering of math tends to look better than htlatex’s, at least in simpler cases, since it renders math using a combination of HTML and CSS rather than converting the formulae to images. But more complex formula tend to be rendered less well than with htlatex, since there is no reasonable way of scaling parentheses in HTML, for example. More importantly (as of version 0.39, at least), eLyXer has no support for math macros, for user-defined paragraph or character styles, or for tables of contents and figures, and its treatment of cross-references is minimal. These limitations make eLyXer unsuitable for many of the documents more advanced LyX users would produce. In principle, of course, all of these problems could be solved, but the LyX developers have decided to follow a different path and have made LyX itself capable of writing XHTML, just as it is capable of writing LaTeX, DocBook, and plaintext. " I would appreciate it if you could update this guide to reflect the status of eLyXer 1.1.1: eLyXer supports math macros, tables of contents and figures, and cross-references. User-defined paragraphs and character styles can often be added by changing the CSS. Finally, there is a way to scale parentheses in HTML (using Unicode characters), and I am trying to experiment with it, but this is just a wish list item. Also, a link to eLyXer's home page would be nice: http://elyxer.nongnu.org/ In case anyone wants to judge the state of eLyXer, I have published the conversion of the LyX Math guide online: http://elyxer.nongnu.org/lyx/Math.html if you prefer to link this. Thanks, Alex.
