which is impossible when I only can generate references with the <OK> button!
An <Apply> button will certainly add functionality to the Reference dialog.

PS: I've noticed there are two 'styles' of <OK> and <Close> buttons:
plain ones and ones with a little return-arrow to the right.
For example: Layout-dialog, Character-Style-dialog and Reference-dialog.
The return-arrow with the <OK> is very good when it also closes the dialog,
but the return-arrow with the <Close> is superfluous.
