i have rather general questions: * are there security considerations (havent worked with it, but its possible to write ERT for "rm -rf/" in lua)? * why do we want it at all - or in more general, what are we aiming to support? all pdftex, xetex, luatex? each new engine will have its own quirks i guess. its not clear to me whether its fashion for next five years or its mature and is going to survive -- or be replaced by some new xeluatex creature? (honest question, i dont follow development steps of these. short googling returns bunch of time-dependent infos...). pavel
