The only thing that can really be done here now is to try to get rid of
that extra line after \end{split}. I don't know why that is there, as I
don't know the math code at all. But I think it must be due to changes

not regression, but fileformat - #2607 (conversion of Labeling --> List) - so
its timerange is limited.
Juergen seems to be OK with it, but lyx2lyx
part is missing.
I can do that---as noted in the bug report.
