ask Abdel ;) i'm upset about this behaviour of firefox and acroread at least
twice a week when other window freeze (firefox) or badly interfere with the
other window (acroread kills menu for all windows when one window ask for it and
similar). so no fan of lyx doing this...
once you have 12 desktops and uptime is in weeks its really no problem to
have many opened sessions for various todos...

as user only in case i need to see the same buffer twice. i had very bad
experiences with various crashes and painting incongruences so i'm generally
avoiding this mode except the case above.
