Sure, but working on the perfect find disalog is another level of
difficulty (we need to be able to turn all bold text into emphasized
text, for example; or every citation reference into a proper natbib
one). But this will not happen overnight.

I'm not sure I want a dialog for jumping from insets to insets. I'm
seeing this more as a navigation tool than a search tool.
