I've recently created native and up-to-date MSVC versions of all the dependencies:
ftp://ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/contrib/windows/bin/ So I don't think there's a need to search for GnuWin32. Maybe LYX_DEPENDENCIES_DIR could just be a normal directory setting? Joost
