Shoot me, when I'm critisizing too much.

I would find it elegant, if I can *change* a cross-reference
to another one, by just clicking on it. For doing so, the
full reference dialog should be used.
The conceptual difference should be on the programming level,
hidden for the user.

The current solution: deleting the existing reference and
inserting a new one, is not so elegant.
