Sigh. I guess if I *really* wanted the feature, I could just program it
myself :)

Still, I think it ought to be high on the priority list both as a problem
with LaTeX->LyX conversion and as a not-too-rare feature of LaTeX. (I
remember having a discussion with Asger and JMarc about how to represent an
optional arg to \section in the GUI. Did anyone ever decide how this would
get implemented?)
