I have multiple _types.h in various places, but they all have this: #if defined(__GNUC__) && defined(__PTRDIFF_TYPE__) typedef __PTRDIFF_TYPE__ __darwin_ptrdiff_t; /* ptr1 - ptr2 */ #else typedef int __darwin_ptrdiff_t; /* ptr1 - ptr2 */ #endif /* __GNUC__ */ (This is the only place where "__darwin_ptrdiff_t" shows up in any file.)
