Well, this is difficult to answer... what would your company require for
this donation? Just to be listed as a generous donator in the "Donate"
web page like for Beslist.nl? If so, then a thousand euros or two is a
good amount IMO (other developpers way want to express their opnion here).
Web hosting is not paid by us directly but is offered by some university
AFAIK. A good solution for web hosting would be about 500€ per year if
we do the system management by ourselves. So there again, a few thousand
euros would be nice.
We typically have a developer meeting every year or so and we all pay
our own expenses. My estimation is that a LyX meeting cost approximately
300€ to 500€ per developer and we are between 10 and 20 developers.
