I already use LyXLauncher. I only invented the batch file that calls LyXLauncher, to avoid the LANG variable issue. When LANG is not set on a PC, your solution works fine. When it is set, I don't have another idea than to remove it when installing LyX. But this would be problematic for programs that are using LANG.
