by accident i just made test of lyx -dbg any for searching through all manuals.

No, I've some extra debugging stuff added for development purposes. And
even though the subject speaks about "a lot of it". It also happens
with less, so it's not the amount that counts. Although if it's a thread
related problem, more output means a larger chance of collision.
That's also what I see. If I really write a lot, LyX immediately
crashes, if I write less, then it takes some time and each time at a
different moment.
we could add some synchro primitives into viewprogress if its thread related.
