Looks like the problem is here:

[r...@rghquad lib64]# ls libhunspell-1.2.s*
libhunspell-1.2.so  libhunspell-1.2.so.0  libhunspell-1.2.so.0.0.0

No symlink from libhunspell.so. I can do that manually, of course, and
then it works fine. But there's a bug there somewhere, if not ours then
in the Fedora package.
At least on ubuntu I was forced to install libhunspell-dev. Before that, I had 
/usr/lib/libhunspell-1.2.so.0.*, but not this symlink.

I've already got hunspell-devel installed, so that doesn't help here.
