Finally! I can reproduce it now! Sorry, I wanted to add the following description and files to the ticket 6237, but I cannot connect to the lyx.org server at the moment, so I will just mail it to you: * Open test2.lyx16 (in lyx1.6.4) or test2.lyx (in lyx2.0svn). * Go immediately to the very end with <ctrl>-<end>. * Go with the cursor one step to the left and back to the right again (without this it doesn't work, at least not immediately) * Now Press <shift> and type <PgUp> only once (should be enough). For me lyx then freezes in both lyx-versions. (I have Ubuntu 8.04) Note that I also tried to produce the same freeze without equations, where it didn't work for me. Hope this helps. Sebastian
