Hi,
I'm a recent LyX convert (from TeXshop, i.e. hand-crafted LaTeX), and
have had no problems adapting to LyX - indeed, I love it!
I'm using Snow Leopard and wanted to try building a 64-bit build (as a
first step towards fixing some small bugs, and change some things that
annoy me).
I installed the Qt 4.6 (beta1) SDK and other dependencies but still
can't get it to build. Am I correct in saying that LyX requires a
static build of Qt (rather than the default dylibs/Frameworks
installed with the SDK)? Is there some fundamental reason for this, or
is it just a limitation of the build system?
Has anyone actually succeeded in building a 64-bit dynamically linked
executable for Snow Leopard?
Thanks,
Hugo Vincent
