Hi Uwe I am fine with the possibility of deleting the equation number by pressing <del> at the end of the line. But for me it is clearly a bug that this even happens, when some text is marked. Clearly, when I mark a text and press <del>, I want the text to be deleted and not the equation number. Did you try to follow my description? The behavior differs if one marks from left to right or from right to left! I cannot imagine that this behavior is intentional!? By the way, I have not found a description of this behavior in LyX's math-manual, at least not in section 19 at the places where it would fit. Could you perhaps tell me where exactly? Best, Sebastian
