Hello, my name is Javier and I am a Lyx user,
First of all I want to thank everyone for their great work with LyX. I
have been using LyX for a couple of years and it saves me valuable time.
I write to developers list to share with you something that I have found
that makes LyX fail when converting files using Imagemagik (convert.exe)
in Windows. I had problems with loading images and exporting to HTML so
I spend some time isolating the problem and I think that I found it.
After installing Lyx and trying to execute convert.exe from command line
I got and error; it was impossible for me to make it work, the file
threw and exception and the application stoped. I fix the problem by
downloading Imagemagick from their website and replacing the Imagemagick
folder that comes with LyX with the one that I had downloaded (to avoid
changing the path).
I know that you are very busy with really important things and that is
why I have thought that by telling this I will make a little
contribution to allow you to continue with your fantastic software.
