Advanced Find: GUI & translations

I've tried to shorten some texts of the Advanced F&R GUI. I'd like to 
know if there is any "standard" process for committing changes to the 
translations.

I can propose/commit translations for Italian, but I'm not sure if and 
how I should touch it.po files.
