Frankly... I cannot remember... but I have a vague recollection of a
fatal disk crash and that we (I) had to rebuild the CVS repo from
whatever people had in their working copies...
And this was before I had any place to store a backup of multiple tens
of megabytes...
I also wonder where the really old lyx relases went...
