export lyx to latex

Dear lyx developers,

First, let me say that lyx is a wonderful piece of software that  
continues to improve each year.  Before lyx, I had a love-hate  
relationship with latex. Lyx has changed all that.  Lyx is a pleasure  
to use.

Here is my request:  Make it possible to better format the export to  
latex.  Right now things like \begin{equation} are not always set off  
on separate lines. That is equations are often written as part of the  
text, which makes the exported latex harder to read. When a human  
writes latex he/she will usually put in % before and after  
equations.  Right now, I have to do it by hand, which is very  
tedious.  It would be VERY nice to have some control over how the  
exported latex is formated.  Since latex is just an ascii file, it  
seems like some format options would be easy to include in the export  
command.

Keep up the excellent work.  I really appreciate what you have  
accomplished.
