Hi all,

Before entering a bug report, I thought I'd check and see if this is a known phenomenon (since I've seen other reports of issues with recent versions of Qt).

In LyX 1.6.3-1 on Win XP, with the LyX window maximized (and with or without a document open), if I change anything in the Look and Feel menu, the LyX window abruptly shrinks to a smaller size (approximately 700x540 pixels on my display) but thinks it is maximize (the button in the upper right to toggle status shows an icon with two overlapping windows and the tool tip "Restore down", there are no resizing handles when you cursor to the corners, and the context menu in the system tray has minimize enabled but maximize disabled). Clicking the resize button once leaves the window the same size but changes the icon, tool tip etc. to indicate the window can be maximized; clicking a second time actually does maximize it, and things are back to normal. Alternatively, from the confused state, clicking the LyX icon in the system tray once minimizes LyX to the system tray, and then clicking that icon a second time restores the LyX window in the correct (maximized) state.

I assume there's no point in filing this if it turns out it's a Qt bug.

Cheers,
Paul
