It's one of the terrifying things about LyX that no-one, from what I can tell, actually understands everything about how it works. Maybe Andre or JMarc have a fairly synoptic picture of the thing, and Vincent seems to be headed that way. But mostly, we each have our piece, and we get our heads together when we need to. That can lead to some interesting discussions.
