I use 1.6.3svn (id UI menu) in Ubuntu 8.10 The preference settings and document setting have been set in Indonesian language.
I was going to try using Indonesian Spell Checker but it did not work and a message appeared "Error: The file "/usr/lib/aspell/bahasa" can not be opened for reading." I checked the file system directory does not have folder /usr/lib/aspell/bahasa, but I can see some files related to Indonesian dictionary ?, such as indonesian.alias and id.* are all in /usr/lib/aspell (I am not familiar with aspell) How can I make use of Indonesian spell checker works?
