I see no particular reason for Jean-Marc to _ask_ for access. It's something that should have happened automatically.

Early on, Lars' did ask people to let him know if they _needed_ access and if so give a reason. IIRC, Jean-Marc declined at the time. Now it's different, but don't forget that it's _us_ that want Jean-Marc to have access. The latter is another reason that Jean- Marc should ask, thus accepting the responsibility that comes with the access.

At the time I was waiting to see how things would develop, and I did not even now what part of the administration would require physical access. I asked Lars yesterday for both physical access
and trac admin access.

As for limiting the number of people with access, that might have something to do with the conditions under which we are getting the server (for free?).

Which brings another point. Do you have a way to contact directly the person(s) who run the site? I think at least
one of us should.

I think security has a lot to do with it, e.g. because we're running on a VM which a user could break out of, and then into other VMs on that host. In other words, a rouge user isn't just a threat to our server, but also a potential threat to all the other servers on
                                  ^^^^^

You mean a communist user? Come on, don't be so paranoid...
