I'm attaching two images -- one is from OmniGraffle, showing its color button -- and the other, of course, from LyX. LyX's is an odd shape -- rectangular with the height greater than the width -- and the "..." inside doesn't convey anything to me. That's what I mean in saying it looks "out of place": it's unlike any other button I've seen on Mac. Is something like OmniGraffle's button possible with Qt? >> And the placement of the "Reset" button >> looks odd: is pressing it supposed to reset the color? all page layout >> settings? ... > > It is in the page layout section and behind the color button. It's only the *placement* that's odd: it's too far away from the color button (and too high up on the line -- it's not centered) for it to indicate intuitively that it goes with the color button rather than the Page Layout section as a whole. (I'm nitpicking here, but I suspect only a slight adjustment will make it much clearer.) Bennett
