This works for me here. Can you send me a LyX example file to test out further?
Besides this, it is necessary what version of the babel package you are using. I have here version
3.81. To find this out, compile your file to PDF and then use the menu Document -> LaTeX log.
(Indonesian support was added about a year ago in babel, so when you are using TeXLive 2007, you
perhaps won't see any Indonesian translations in the output.)
