Bullshit.

OK, as I wasn't informed that bugzilla is only temporarily down.

- users that report bugs cannot set people to CC and set its own bug as
duplicate
- I cannot assigns bugs to me or certain persons
- Bugs are no longer categorized. We need to be able to search for example
to find all open tex2lyx bugs
- the bug search is very limited
- ...?
eh? have you looked at Trac at all?

Yes and I know that categories and default bug owners are possible, but as said I didn't know that you are still at migrating and that this won't be the final state.
But the bug search possibilities are nevertheless limited in my opinion.

I know that Lars is doing a fantastic job in migrating lyx.org but are I'm
not happy with the migrating from bugzilla to Trac. I'm wondering why the
existing bugzilla couldn't be moved as is to our new server as this would be
the easiest way and only this way we don't use any information.

I'll put you down for doing that work then.
(I am not touching bugzilla with any other pole...)

I don't understand. Why can bugzilla not simply only be upgraded?

Apart from that... I belive that Trac can work for LyX just as well as
bugzilla, and when it comes to integration with the VCS it is a lot better.

Do you mean this?:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Bugzilla:Addons#Integration_with_Source_Code_Management_programs

But OK when Trac can really do all what we need, so be it. The trac frontends I've seen so far do not provide some of the thing I mentioned.

But anyway I calm down now and be quit.

regards Uwe
