Juergen, can I backport the various changes I did to man pages to branch?
This will require updates to scons and cmake that I am not very sure
about.

No problems for cmake. In the current code there is nothing to do, because
cmake in branch
did not care about manpages. On the other hand, I have back-ported everething
to branch, waiting
since a week to be allowed to commit.
The cmake build has always been experimental so I don't think Juergen
would object, Juergen?
