Hi all,

I have published eLyXer successfully:
   http://wiki.lyx.org/Tools/ELyXer
and announced it on lyx-users, and it seems there is some interest in
it even now, when it is not too polished. So I have decided to go on
and host it on Savannah, the FSF facility for hosting GNU and non-GNU
projects:
   https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/elyxer/
And I want to make a homepage and all. So one thing leads to another
and I need a logo. I have made a crude combination of Lydia and the
Iceweasel globe, and the result is here:
   http://wiki.lyx.org/uploads/Tools/eLyXer/docs/elyxer.svg
or in PNG format:
   http://wiki.lyx.org/uploads/Tools/eLyXer/docs/elyxer.png

I think that the licenses (both of Lydia and of Iceweasel) allow for
this, but I am not sure. Anybody have an authoritative opinion on
Lydia? And I hope nobody minds of the blatant reuse! After all eLyXer
is no good without LyX, and its main purpose is to make LyX more
useful; but I don't want people to think that the logo is a LyX
endorsement. If anyone complains I will change it to something
different.

Hi Alex,

I don't think you'll receive complains. I wonder though if ELyXer should not be integrated into LyX proper. We distribute a number of python scripts already, IMHO adding yours which is clearly a LyX spin off would just be natural. Just an idea...

Abdel.
