I'm very comfortable with bugzilla. I therefore also requested from time to time to upgrade to
bugzilla 3.x, because this brought some other nice features.
But its only a matter of taste that I like bugzilla more than Trac that we use at our university to
report IT problems.
Nevertheless, when Trac has the same features as bugzilla, there's no
objections from my side.
The features we need are:
- setting of milestones
- modifications of uploaded files
- email notification including a CC list
- definition of components
- default bug owner for certain components
- blocking other bug reports with one bug
And of course everything we have in bugzilla needs to be migrated. Our bugzilla has become an
incredible database with workarounds, problems, patches, and solutions. (E.g. I sometimes look at
already fixed bugs to find out how a current bug can be fixed.)
