Works fine for me on Mac. The only problem I notice concerns scrolling
behavior, which is annoying (to me), but certainly not a showstopper.

It used to be (with 1.6.1) that when the cursor was at the bottom of
the screen and <down-arrow> was pressed, the screen would scroll down
one line, leaving the cursor still at the bottom. Now, pressing
<down-arrow> will scroll a *full* screen, so that the cursor is at the
next line in the document but at the top of the screen. By my lights,
at least, this is a regression.

(Previously -- at least with 1.4 -- LyX would scroll 1/2 a screen in
these cases. I prefer the 1.6.1 behavior; I can't remember when the
change was made and whether 1.5 was like 1.4 or 1.6.)

Shall I file a bug report?

Bennett
