Apparently, this is a bug people who upgrade to RedHat 7.0 will see: xdvi will not have its buttons anymore. Thomas Esser of teTeX thinks it is some problem with the new shared libs in XFree86-4.*. They are working on it. Apparently, the latest pure xdvi does not have the problem, xdvik does have it---and that is the one coming with teTeX. Not a LyX problem, but I guess many people would want to know. Mate
