Hello Developers of Lyx!
I am using Lyx for about a year now and i am very happy with it,
especially with the way to handle pictures.
But when i want to use the Overpic package to put some Latex-text in my
pictures, i have to use Tex-Code. By that, i miss all the advantages of
your image-system: the dialogue to determine the size of pictures, the
preview and especially the auto-conversion to a suitable format.
Now my idea would be to have a simple checkbox in the graphics insert
dialogue to enable the overpic-environment instead of \includegraphics.
Maybe also a line-edit to enter commads like \put(...){...}.
As i am not very experienced in c++, i am not able to understand your
source code good enough to see if this would need major code changes or
if it would even be impossible to do that.
What do you think? Is my Idea possible to implement? Do you want to do it?
