Yes, but a 'all is possible' interface (up to "[X] show all footnotes except those that contain a math expression" ? :) is risky in terms of usability. Also there is the semantics part. There is a real need for having LyX 'skip' some part of text as being 'not there'. For example, notes are not part of ToC right now. JMarc
